The new and expanded workshop included some phenomenal speakers sharing information on music ministry, songwriting, speaking, writing books and many aspects of related business. Live critiques of attendee songs and book ideas were included. What great fun and learning took place during these critiques! By the way, many of our speakers offer private or group coaching. The Dove and Stellar Award-winning Christian Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee has written and had songs recorded in every Christian genre, from gospel to contemporary Christian to southern gospel and more - she's done it all! Babbie is not only a successful songwriter and recording artist, she is a long-time university songwriting professor, author, speaker and TV show host. She founded babbiemasonradio.com to showcase independent Christian artists and authors.Deborah Smith Pegues has has written sixteen transformational books including 30 Days to Taming Your Tongue (winner of the ECPA Platinum Award for over one million copies sold)—and Forgive, Let Go, and Live. She has been the featured guest on numerous media broadcasts including CBS, Daystar, “Today with Marilyn & Sarah”, and “Focus on the Family”. 2017 Platform Workshop for Christian Songwriters

The 2017 Workshop took place at Faithful Central Bible Church in Los Angeles. Attendees received outstanding instruction from Dove and Grammy Award winner Babbie Mason. Babbie is a prolific gospel singer/songwriter who has been in full-time music ministry for 30 years. With such well-loved songs as "All Rise", "All In Favor" and "Each One Reach One", Babbie makes a rare visit to L.A. each year to provide high-quality songwriting instruction at the Platform Workshop. She is joined by inspirational speakers and business professionals for a full day of instruction, learning and networking. The songwriting instruction includes live critiques of attendee songs. The Platform Workshops continue to be a rare opportunity to learn from some of the very best Christian artists and experts in related fields.
